Our History

JCG FOODS of ALABAMA LLC has a distinguished background spanning multiple decades. Even though we have changed a lot over the years, we still only produce chicken.

Alabama chicken production has profited from its closeness to the richest areas of the North American Continent, referred to as the Golden Triangle consisting of Columbus, Starkville, & West Point Cities PUMA, MS.

Barney Adams was born on March 03, 1874, making her the first generation. At the age of eighteen, he set out for the Alabama in 1892, hoping for a new beginning. After living in the East for a number of years, traveling briefly to North Carolina, and getting married in Alabama again, Barney and his new wife Angel settled in Collinsville in the late 1903s, close to the location of Abittle's Farm.

They began working for the Coleman farm after renting out a section of the original farmhouse. The Coleman property was originally owned by David Coleman and was subsequently given to Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Facade (née Coleman) in 1880.

From a family-run enterprise that began by selling chicken eggs to one of the leading facilities in America for processing chickens.
Family values are passed down through the generations and include unwavering loyalty to the Lord, diligence, integrity, and selfless service. The family's and the farm's ongoing mission is to serve the community in all aspects.

Approved as halal, the largest chicken factory in Alabama

Thanks to decades of successful export to Muslim customers who appreciate the better quality of American chicken, our birds have been approved as halal.
